I purchased this TV in August and have noticed a horrible blur on every image. Every sporting game has a horrible blur…it may be that my tv has a defect, but its definitely going back. I have tried different HDMI cords, no difference. Also caled my cable company, no problems.

I first discovered the Samsung LED TV’s while looking for a flat screen at Best Buy. I was blown away by the picture and the amazing thinness of the TV. Since I was planning to hang the flat screen over a fireplace which had masonry behind 3/4″ sheet rock, I realized that this much lighter option could hang on Samsung’s new “picture hanger” system, which turned out to be a very easy installation, requiring only 2 holes drilled with a masonry bit into the fireplace. I was able to install the set myself in under an hour. The picture clarity is amazing, but the sound will require upgrading. I anticipate adding the Blu-ray soundbar in the near future. My only real criticisms are the non-inclusion of the WiFi dongle that makes this set interact with my home network. I bought the B7000 series for it’s Internet capability and was disappointed to learn that despite my costly purchase, I still needed to buy the propietary Samsung USB network adapter for an additional $70. This should have been included with the set or Samsung should have done a better job of indicating that an additional piece of equiptment would be necessary. I understand that the Infolink system will let me use other Samsung components with the same remote controller, however I wish the included remote was “smart” enough to learn how to control my HD Comcast DVR, so I wouldn’t have to still use 2 remotes to use my TV.

I was stunned after watching HD on this TV that even without wearing my glasses I was impressed with the clarity and sharpness of the picture.

Great picture but I don’t have blu-ray so I can’t expect the best possible picture. The manual is better than most supplied by Asian companies but it leaves certain features unexplained. Except for the sound I haven’t seen any issues complained about in other reviews. My complaint with the sound is that the range of volume control is noticeably limited. We use a cable box with its own volume control, so who do you blame? I don’t know how well the audio interface works with external devices. (We have a cheap Visio that will blast you out of the room. It doesn’t sound great, but it’s clear and loud). Haven’t tried to interface with the Internet. Haven’t hooked up a game. Haven’t tried using the memory port to view a downloaded movie.
I bought this particular model because of a hoped for reduction in power usage and reduction in heat generated when compared with LCD and Plasma TVs. If this is not a concern then this is an excellent TV but not necessarily worth the extra price if you can’t get it on sale.
